Guys, if you are wigged out by women talking about their menistration (or women who can’t talk about it either I suppose), you may want to avoid this post. :)

I thought I'd share an interesting article about the differences and similarities between Ostara and Easter. This week begins the Spring Break Workshop my son got the scholarship to, so it will be very busy. He got a new pair of black dance pants today, ballet slippers, and a pink shirt that says "Tough Guys Wear Pink" on it. He's all set. :)

Magic Chat: "Goddesses of Africa"

With all the work I’ve been doing with my Egyptian spirituality based erotica story “Oh It’s Magic” I thought it might be fun to do a magic chat in tribute to African goddesses. None of these were used in the story (information on all those in OIM will be coming at another time in the future) but who knows, you might see them all in something else I write one day. We shall see what wonders the muces bring.

I'm still recovering for last nights Initiation ritual. Wow. I wish I could talk about it, but it’s one of those secret sisterhood sorts of things. Welcoming a group of new sisters into our tradition made me think about all the folks out there that might not really get what the Dianic faith is all about.

So, for our Magic Chat today I thought I’d share with you one of my favorite articles written by my teacher and TOD (Temple of Diana) high priestess, Ruth Rhiannan Barrett.

Magic Chat: A Princess of a Different Kind

With a young daughter to raise I think a good deal about what things I can do to support a possitive self image that will support her physical, emotional, and even magical growth. What I saw posted on one of my lists reminded me of how much things have and will still be changing.

Was Thinking

Some of you might ask, what do herbal remedies do with magic, well if you make them yourself, your magic and intention go into every bit of the work. The tincure and infusions I create for myself or those I care for are filled with my own healing energies as well as that of the wonderful herbs I use. The knowledge of these plant and the gree magic that goes with them has been held by our ancesters for countless time. The use of them to keep us healthy is our birthrite.

Now some of you are wondering what body image has to do with magic. Well, let me tell you, if you’re not comfortable in your own skin that blocks so many things, your ability to be open in a relationship, the comfort levels in presenting what may be wonderful ideas or reading of your writing in front of a group of people, and yes my dears, even the flow of your inner energies.

Sunday Magic Chat

Okay, I’ve been thinking. The times I have mentioned magical work I've had some good responses. I've even had private emails asking questions and wanting to know more. It got me thinking. If I want to bring more traffic to my blog I should put stuff people are interested in right? If people are interested in hearing more about the real life magic and skills I've learned that I use in my writing, I’m thinking it might be fun to give it a try.

If any of you that are interested in knowing more about things like energy work, herbal studies, anything that I can share what I have learned, this is the time to ask those questions. If you have an experience to share, then do that too. This is not about training people, this is about an open dialogue about magic and other related topics.
