Pondering farwells and question

I’m having a challenging day trying to wrap my brain around something beside what happened this afternoon. For now I’ll talk about something else outside the cut, and spare you all.

I’m thinking about doing the Samhain Publishing bondage call, but would like suggestions of good resources and book involving light bondage content that I can use as part of my research. I don’t want anything intense because it won’t fit the tone of the story I’m doing, but something more playful would work well.

Okay, not sure how this works

Was Thinking
Just for fun I adopted an egg from the Dragon Cave thing while I am taking a house cleaning break (I sooo hate cleaning, but the gaming group is coming over tonight and the house is a mess). I don't know what to do with it, but here it is...

Adopt one today!

Along with the abandended egg above I found these later on, both mystery eggs.

Adopt one today!    Adopt one today!

I think I need to look into the incubater things they mentioned to display multiple eggs. I maybe shouldn't have gotten all three, but I'd tried for a while to get a mystery egg at all so I was excited to get two.

My youngest monster turned 6 yesterday, my eldest turned 10 a couple weeks ago, and in a few weeks I am 40. Time seems to rush ahead when you're not looking. I am feeling very contimplative today.

Sucks
Thanks to [info]elisemfor directing me to this video to help those of you in warmer places understand how cold it is here in the Midwest in America. In the vid it's only a couple degrees lower than it is right outside my door currently. Cold enough that our connection went wonky most of the morning and our normally reliable car refuses to start. Frikken cold...

Have I mentioned this week how must I HATE wintertime in this city?

Let’s Talk About Sex

  • Nov. 19th, 2008 at 7:08 PM
Was Thinking
I’ve started a sex blog called "Its All About Us" for women only. What is a sex blog some of you may ask? I have no idea. It started because of a call for reviewers of sex related products. The people offering the job (paid in product – wink wink) suggested that stated a sex related blog would be easy to build readership and fun. Now, since I started doing more erotica calls recently, I had to agree for many reasons that this specialized blog sound like a decent enough idea. To be truthful I have no idea what to put on it. I could post bits of my erotic stories, random thoughts on beauty and sex from yours truly, the reviews of course, useful sex articles…what do you all think? Us there any sex blogs you visit and really enjoy? If so, what makes them something you want to return to?

I ran across this piece I wrote on one of my morning walks while I was in New Orleans for Saints and Sinners this year. I thought some of you might enjoy visiting my rambling thoughts. :)

Traveling and missing New Orleans already

  • May. 12th, 2008 at 10:42 PM
Was Thinking
Well, this is it. The days of sun and fun have ended and I have to leave my time in New Orleans. I connected this weekend with people I’d never meet in person before, and will never forget. My PD family could not all be here, but the ones that were, the time with them meant everything to me. I will not say goodbye to them, or that I’ll miss them, I will simply say you remain in my heart and I will see you again soon.

Guys, if you are wigged out by women talking about their menistration (or women who can’t talk about it either I suppose), you may want to avoid this post. :)

I’ve given a lot of thought to what my goals for 2008 are. I don’t want to give myself impossible challenges, but I really do want to make an impact in my own life. I don’t do these things to please anyone else, but me. I’ll start from the beginning, for a lot of these one progresses into the other.

TT ahead )

We all have our own personal images of beauty, and the faces of the Goddess I thought I might share some of mine. Everything is written by me except where noted. Enjoy! :)

Australia Dreaming

Instead of doing my weekly Friday Flashback, I’ve decided to go for a Friday Freeform. So many people were talking about traveling lately, I thought I might find some picks of one of the places I’ve dreamed up seeing for a long time. I don’t know if I can ever afford it, but not giving up on the dream quite yet.

Am I out of date?

Okay, I admit I went a bit book crazy this week. I blew right through my book buying budget. I got a few great lesfic books, Miss McGee by Bett Norris (Bywater Books) and Punk Like Me by JD Glass (Bold Stokes). I also picked up a slew of paranormal fiction that I've heard good things about. I got them all home and opened up the paranormal books, and that’s when my confusion began.

Celebrate With Me

I celebrate...

Read more... )I celebrate this old house with all its imperfections. When the air grows cold and the wind howls outside like a great beast, within its walls my family stays safe.

I celebrate the small head that rests on my shoulder with tales of her first dance class and pretty things that make her happy.

I celebrate a son who is passionate about reading and who, like his sister, has been my greatest source of inspiration since the day he was born.

I celebrate a sturdy lap that is just big enough to hold both of my little ones close when the land of mommy is the only place to be.

I celebrate a bed big enough that both my children can find refuge there on nights when the nightmares sneak into the safety of their slumber. And that with a few bruises I can give them the peaceful rest that only comes safe in momma’s arms.

So on this day when so many stop to mourn what has been lost, what will YOU celebrate in your lives?
