For those of you out there who have been poking me about when Ancestral Magic is coming out (yes I know the publishers website said Fall 2008), some more good news. I just went over the final version of the galley and it looks like it’s a go. How soon now? I’d say it has to be within the month. (crossing fingers for having copies for Oddcon)
I’ve got a strange question, or a pair of questions in fact. The four novellas I have in process on being released are going to be ebook only. I’d like to see them (f/f) in print as well, and the ebook publisher doesn’t own the print rights to these. I thought putting all 4 stories in a print edition of multicultural f/f para romance might do well, I just don’t know what publishers might like that idea, and wouldn’t need to ebook rights along with print rights.
I finished edits on Nashoba’s Hope today, and not only did the Shadowfire Press editor say she was impressed with my speed at getting them done, but that she was looking forward to working with me again. Bonus! The cover for that one is near completion.
I want to thank

PS: There's Silk Exotic post coming about what I learned (a LOT) on my research adventure, and the highlights. I am very excited hearing back from a couple of the dancers whose blog I read and who I emailed to ask if I could use some of thier (tonight at the club) stories as scenes (in part) in my book if I gave proper credit and they happily said "sure!"
Barb and I are very excited to announce we have signed the following new
titles for publishing in late fall '09 and early '10.
Tilting at Windmills by Geonn Cannon
American Windows by Anne Azel
Turn For Home by Lara Zielinsky
Go to our website, www.pdpublishing.com, to find out more about these and
our other titles. Thanks for supporting our authors!

Okay, here's part four of this incredible series by
stacia_kane (there are a total of five part all together, so one more to go), the rest I will be posting weekly in the guest blog spot. Such great info. Be sure to stop by Stacia Kane/December Quinn 's site and give props for all the hard work this took. If you missed part one and part two and part three, check them out first.

I think when it comes to ebook publishers I'm just cursed. Two contests won (both 2nd place), two books not to editing even before the publishers have to close thier doors. Both closed in very professional manners, and for good reasons, but neigther was any less disappointing. I wish Debra and the rest at DEP, and post the letter Dabra sent up to the readers group (the one sent to the authors was longer) so that folks know the truth behind the closure. DEP are good folks, and this closing is no ones fault.

Last summer
stacia_kane did a great series on finding the right publisher that I though you all might enjoy a recap of. I will post the next part of her series (on epublishers) the following week. Though some info on the publishers may or may not have changed in over a year, the technigue to making comparrison and choices remains great advise. My thanks to Stacia Kane/December Quinn for an amazing series of articles.
Well, somehow I survived January with the family's flu (which according to the school letter I got yesterday may have been the result of a known Shigellosis epidemic they just now decided to mention to us) and here is what I got done. Not bad to a tired and sick mommy.
Here is the newest addition to my writing goal updates. Perhaps when I get through the crazy making month of January, I can work harder on my non-writing goals for this year too. :)
And one the third day of the writing crunch my muses gave to me...
For those of you expecting a "Sunday Magic Chat" or a "Green Monday" post this week, I've afriad this weekend has been far too busy for that. Between two days with a feverish child, and writing deadlines, it just wasn't possible. For anyone following my progress on my 2008 writing goals here’s what we have so far.
