Good News

After a week of fighting this flue, with a high grade fever, my daughter’s fever is now not only down to normal but has stayed down all night into this morning. Whew! I am so relieved, though exhausted from taking care of a very miserable kidlet all week.

For those of you out there who have been poking me about when Ancestral Magic is coming out (yes I know the publishers website said Fall 2008), some more good news. I just went over the final version of the galley and it looks like it’s a go. How soon now? I’d say it has to be within the month. (crossing fingers for having copies for Oddcon)

I’ve got a strange question, or a pair of questions in fact. The four novellas I have in process on being released are going to be ebook only. I’d like to see them (f/f) in print as well, and the ebook publisher doesn’t own the print rights to these. I thought putting all 4 stories in a print edition of multicultural f/f para romance might do well, I just don’t know what publishers might like that idea, and wouldn’t need to ebook rights along with print rights.

Ancestral Magic
It’s been a good day for the most part. I got read through of the review copy of Ancestral Magic finished and the artist sent me a note saying the publisher receive the very final art for the cover. If my luck holds out Ancestral Magic will be available before Oddcon.

I finished edits on Nashoba’s Hope today, and not only did the Shadowfire Press editor say she was impressed with my speed at getting them done, but that she was looking forward to working with me again. Bonus! The cover for that one is near completion.

I want to thank [info]calimac  for posting this song by Tom Chapin, with Michael Mark and Jon Cobert which had me doing deep belly laughs. Ya’ll got to watch this. I suppose if you like Sarah Palin you might not find this funny, but then I really don’t know anyone that is fond of the woman in the least.

Workin'....

Ancestral Magic
Going over the review copy of Ancestral Magic is making me crazy. It’s not that I’m not proud of my story, I am, I just afraid I’ll miss some edit messup and it’ll go into print that way. So I am reading very very very sloooowly. On the bright side the cover artist said the final art for the cover is in and in the publishers hands….sooon….very very sooon. Maybe if my luck holds out I will have copies in time for Oddcon and Wiscon.

Don't Panic

Bloodstained Innocence has it's last run of edits and as of today is off to the publisher for submissions. It'll be quite a time before they get around to reading it but I have my fingers crossed that they'll like it.

Chilling Tales
My first published stories are now available…

As of today Chilling Tales of Terror and the Supernatural is available from PD Publishing. I was lucky enough to have 5 pieces of flash fiction accepted into this revolutionary anthology. Rather then buying it from one of the book corps, if you can I ask readers to support your local independent lgbt friendly bookstores.

Was Thinking

Well, somehow I survived January with the family's flu (which according to the school letter I got yesterday may have been the result of a known Shigellosis epidemic they just now decided to mention to us) and here is what I got done. Not bad to a tired and sick mommy.
