Now we move to goal two which is completing the full novel by the 30th of this month. I will set the goal at 100k, which is likely a bit less than the final word count, but as close as I can figure at this point. So here's the new meter.

My GCLS DVD showed up in the mail today, and it was amazing. I'm kinda glad I didn;t get much air time on the recaps. I guess I'm still working on my own body comfort issues. It was fun to get to not only watch the things and people I remember seeing, but to catch a few panels I didn't get to. The hoop dancer still shakes me to tears, for many reason I will not bore ya'll with. Thanks to all the folks at the convention for making my first GCLS so enjoyable. I hope to see everyone in Orlando next year.

I'm very tired. My daughter who is five was sick all last night and most of the day, so I could only write while she was resting. I did still get more that I feared I would but I'm about to fall over. I am still very happy about the elections results and very sad about the results on prop 8. Oh well, it means there's a long way to go before we get to the day when fairness is the norm, not the exception. After the election I have a smidge bit more hope that one day perhaps duting the lifetime of my grandchildren true equality might be a reality.

This election has me on pins and needles. I'm gonna go see if I can get some early hints on what's up, and hope that I don't make myself crazy waiting. There's never has been such an important preidential race in my lifetime. So much rides on this outcome, patience is darn near impossible.
To tired to write much and I want to get to bed to go vote early tomorrow. I hope the lines are not too long so I can get home and write. As it is I'll be taking my notebook and plotting out the next scenes while I wait. So much of our hopes ride on what happens in the next 24 hours or so. For the sake or our children and thiers after them please get out and vote. I can't tell you who to vote for (okay, I could do that but I won't), but I will say let your heart guide you and no voting for crazy people. Actually if you can't vote for the wackos, that really only leaves the one choice, doesn't it? (wink)

I worked on a complicated bit of story telling within my fantasy novel for Nanowrimo that’s given me a bit of grief today. Here’s some vids that have helped give me some inspiration.

Not sure if I am going to post updates everyday, I might if people enjoy them. Over at Women and Words blog Jove Belle, Andi Marquette and I are also doing updates, inclusing possible sneak peeks :) I'm off to the croneing ritual today, but here's today's word count and a sneak peek of my own.

I am so very excited about my upcoming Nanowrimo project that I will be starting this Saturday. I’ve been promising myself to write this story for a long time, and I’m finally going to do it. I don’t want to spoil it by saying too much, but if you are curious come peek at my ramblings…

Quick update one what’s going on with me and why the blog has been so quiet. I had a great trip at the RCGI Hallows event this past weekend. I worked hard, but still had time to go last edits on my lesfic western erotica story to send off to the editor. I also starts (and today finished the rough draft of) my first attempt at BSDM fiction (yep lesfic too), though since I have no betas that I know for certain like BSDM stories might take a wee bit more searching to find readers before I can send it out. Nanowrimo is creeping up on me, but I at least got the rough outline scribbled out for it, and several books and vids on hold at the library for the research cram. If I can get the third short done and edited (the last two are due Dec 1 and 31) I can get them out before I start the new project. Crazy making, but I am proud of what I have gotten done so far at least.
What was Primal Magic and is now called Shadow Magic is one it’s last betas and soon to be off to the publisher. Same can be said for Bloodstained Innocence which I am happy to say is much better for the extensive rewrites. Soon too that will be going to the publisher. With any luck that will be two more contracts.
Nanowrimo is coming in a couple weeks and I have narrowed my choices of projects to two, one of which I am leaning toward more because it’ll take less research to pull off. My muse has been hard at work and even danced with me this week so we could create an intense western erotica piece for a anthology call due end of the month. Ad long as I keep my muse happy and the part time work I am still hunting for doesn’t suck up my creative juices, there’s several more calls I think I can pull off this year still and into next.

There are more fun things happening at Women and Words. There a contest for a copy of Romantic Interludes which features stories from Clifford Henderson, Jove Belle, and Larkin Rose. As well as our fellow WW'r Andi Marquette who did another great post on POV titled “Headhopping”
My mind is so full of the fears and excitement as we near November, not just because Nanowrimo will begin, but there is the coming election to consider.
Now, I know I will (and have) ranted a bit about a certain woMAN who seems to think more like the old white guy network then most of the guys do, so to give you a break from that part of my thought pattern, here’s a few excerpts from my soon to be submitted sequel to Ancestral Magic, now titled Shadow Magic.
I want to thank the hard working betas who have scrambled in their busy lives to help me pull this one together, and Goddess willing, this should be ready to submit to PD before November. Remember folks, this is pre pro edits, but I hope ya’ll will enjoy anyways.
Okay, past rant and concerns about penname issues aside (I’ve decided after all of the wonderful advice to say screw it and continue to use Moondancer Drake for everything until I do the YA/MG stuff) I am moving on to a new and most over due task. Completing my Nanowrimo manuscript from last year.
Okay it seems people like the quote of the day idea so we'll just have fun with it than. They'll be no wordcount this weekend (give ya'll time to catch up *evil laugh) cause I'm going to my Spiral Door gradution. No playing hooky for me.
