My mind is so full of the fears and excitement as we near November, not just because Nanowrimo will begin, but there is the coming election to consider.
Now, I know I will (and have) ranted a bit about a certain woMAN who seems to think more like the old white guy network then most of the guys do, so to give you a break from that part of my thought pattern, here’s a few excerpts from my soon to be submitted sequel to Ancestral Magic, now titled Shadow Magic.
I want to thank the hard working betas who have scrambled in their busy lives to help me pull this one together, and Goddess willing, this should be ready to submit to PD before November. Remember folks, this is pre pro edits, but I hope ya’ll will enjoy anyways.
Okay, the past couple of days has had a bit of both, so I’ll share the bad stuff so I can sugar it up with the good. :)
The bad…

I asked an author friend to take a pre release look at Ancestral Magic to do a blurb and she did a whole review. Very exciting. You can find it at http://joliedupre.blogspot.com/
In the craziness of kittidom and kids still home from school I have gotten a few things done that could be considered productive…
Okay, past rant and concerns about penname issues aside (I’ve decided after all of the wonderful advice to say screw it and continue to use Moondancer Drake for everything until I do the YA/MG stuff) I am moving on to a new and most over due task. Completing my Nanowrimo manuscript from last year.
So here’s the deal. I’m going to throw out some suggestions, and ya’ll can tell me what you’d find most interesting. No limit in choices.

I just got a note that my story "Isabella" is one of the finalists for Bare Back Magazine's anthology, Fairy Tales Can Come True. They say they'll give us an answer in a couple of weeks, so wish me luck! :)
As of today Chilling Tales of Terror and the Supernatural is available from PD Publishing. I was lucky enough to have 5 pieces of flash fiction accepted into this revolutionary anthology. Rather then buying it from one of the book corps, if you can I ask readers to support your local independent lgbt friendly bookstores.

Guys, if you are wigged out by women talking about their menistration (or women who can’t talk about it either I suppose), you may want to avoid this post. :)
I'm so excited I'm about to burst!!!!
Saturday night was an interesting experience. Spring Equinox ritual the day of a snow storm. Good thing we were inside. It’s god to know I’m not the only one we I waaaaay ready for spring. We are all itching to leave the dark time and join the light. I look at my pitiful yard, knowing it’ll be weeks before I can do much than clean it up. I admit I’ve never been too fond of snow to begin with, and this year we got a lot of it.
I want warmth, I want greens, and want life. So many people in out community have lost people they loved this winter. I am ready to leave behind the season of rest and death and dance in my garden this year. Lest couple years I’ve had little time to dedicate to my garden area, but not this year. I vow that this year will great me with dark dirt, hard work, lush greenery, and a wonderful harvest. My five year old daughter is excited to help mommy create the garden, and I’m hoping my son will want to help as well.
After the break from TT last week (long story, too long to go into here), I decided to do a pictorial TT this week. With the gradual weight loss, and the purging of the clothes I do not wear from my closet, I’ve been thinking about thinks I’d love to wear if I could afford them. I decided to share some of my pieces I want the most with you all.
