Okay, starting this week (with the visit to the Aikido class) I’ve been looking at ways to get more active. I hit the local half Price Book and used the last of my gift card to get a bunch of DvDs. I also raided my shelves for the videos collecting dust. I’m also working on a wish list of ones I’d like to get as well. My hope is by having a variety it’ll give me more choices to keep it fun. I added clips where I could find them to give ya'll a taste. :) Not are all from the vids I'm getting/got, but it give you an idea of each form/style.

I’ve thought a lot about fun ways to get more active. I’m a practical person in general when it comes to exercise. If I walk, I want to be going to someplace. With the cold and snow around here lately the idea of walking when I’m doing errands and the like is far from appealing. Outside of dancing (which I can’t help it, is just fun), I’ve thought martial art might be a way to add in a extra level of activity, along with many more practical benefits. One of the styles I’ve considered is Aikido.

I’ve been struggling for years with thyroid issues, which has me thinking more about more option I may have, especially now that I’m making an active attempt to combat my own obesity. Here some things I’ve recently found…

Well, somehow I survived January with the family's flu (which according to the school letter I got yesterday may have been the result of a known Shigellosis epidemic they just now decided to mention to us) and here is what I got done. Not bad to a tired and sick mommy.

Ongoing with our Green Monday twist on personal health I crawled out of my sick bed on the one warm day we've had to start my research into my goal to lose enough weight this year to feel healthier.

Before I fill ya''ll in I wanted to say sorry to anyone I haven't replied to lately. Wednesday night I got hit with a nasty flu that is still kicking my butt.

Here is the newest addition to my writing goal updates. Perhaps when I get through the crazy making month of January, I can work harder on my non-writing goals for this year too. :)

Well, I've made it over the 8k mark on my story "Wild Things" so anything after this is icing. I think I have about 2k left and then I'll edit, and fill in surnames, town names, all the research stuff. I'm amazed I've gotten so much done in two days. This might even be ready for betas by Thurday if I'm lucky. *wink* hint hint

Here's a sample...

For those of you expecting a "Sunday Magic Chat" or a "Green Monday" post this week, I've afriad this weekend has been far too busy for that. Between two days with a feverish child, and writing deadlines, it just wasn't possible. For anyone following my progress on my 2008 writing goals here’s what we have so far.
